but my dad won tickets to nickelback in february, so i'm not too terribly angry...

So ever since i got a facebook i haven't been blogging much...but i guess i will start again....
so.....since the last time i wrote on this.....i have gone to RAIN: THE BEATLES EXPERIENCE....which was pretty cool.....

I have also got a 125.1 in my marketing class....so i'm officially not doing any more work in that class seeing as it ends in 4 weeks.....

o yeah........i also had one of my ducks killed by a fox/coyote.....

he was redish....i guess he was a fox because he looked just like the picture...

i know this because i saw him.......when he came back for more....

but i saved them from him by scaring him away.....

so now they go in a dog kennel at night so they aren't mauled....

and they are getting better at going in when i lead them there.....

which is good.

other than that i haven't done much....

i've just had lots of homework....

so...tonight me and my mom went to see SAW V....and it was really good....i love that series of movies....they are so awesome...it brought all the other movies together and everything....and it's definitely more gory and freaky than all the others, but i loved it...and i can't wait for the sixth one to come out on OCTOBER 30th, 2009....

Fall Fest

so our school doesn't have any fundraisers...except for all the fundraisers we do....and our biggest fundraiser we have (but apparently we don't have fundraisers, according to the principal) is the Fall Fest....well, stupidly, during third block yesterday i decided i would sign up to help....well it was yesterday night and i got to help seventeen third graders get from room to room....but they were obnoxious...and they would make the funniest noises at me and at eachother....and when they were told they got to play WEBKINZ they totally flipped....apparently it's some kind of kids game website or something......but they just wanted to go to the "haunted house"....it was just a darkened room....with people screaming at you and stuff....but they really wanted to go and they kept asking when they were going to be able to go...well, finally we went...and when i was about half way through, i was told by one of the "scary people" that my group wasn't with me anymore....they all got scared out....so then my group was mad because it was too scary....

The moral of the story is never play with third graders....

So last night me and my dad went down to TPAC to see Randy Newman's concert....it was very good...he is very funny and he put on a good show...his music is also really good...especially his new album....and i liked the fact that he sang his song "Rednecks", because it is one of my favorites from him...it just says the "N" word a lot....that's all.....but it was a good show....it was one of those weird concerts where you sit the whole time and only like 4 people in the whole place are in jeans and there's an intermission and all that stuff....weird....but cool....and he's still just as ugly as he was in the 70s

So...i went driving yesterday with my dad....for like i guess the second time....but the first time was only like 2 minutes...so anyway.......i was driving awesomely (except for the fact that when i would hit the gas, it would go really fast...i need to work on that) and my dad told me to park the car....so after doing an almost straight parking job, my dad told me where the lights were (like i didn't already know) and i messed with the light turner onner thingy, and the car shut off..i killed the car...

apparently, according to the nice people at the NTB place, there was a short in the battery, so when i turned the lights on it killed the car...

luckily i was in a parking lot...and a cop came by and jump started us....yay policia....

so, today was my first forensics tournament....yay....and it was fun...i do something called extemperaneous speaking, which basically means they give me a political topic, then give me thirty minutes to prepare a speech...then i have to give a seven minute speech without any notes....so that's fun....but anyway, at a tournament you do three rounds, which means i had to do the above process three times....then you eat lunch...then they put a poster up telling you whether you made it to finals or not (top 6)....if you go to finals, then you have to do it one more time.....so anyway, i made finals and was pretty happy about that....since i had only extemped one time before and that wasn't a tournament....i got fifth and got a pretty fancy medal...so yeah...cool

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - After years of dodging questions, former "American Idol" singer Clay Aiken will acknowledge he is a gay man in an interview with People magazine set to run on its Web site Wednesday, according to media reports.

Celebrity site Perezhilton.com on Tuesday published a photo of the cover of People magazine's upcoming issue on which Aiken cradles his new son, Parker Foster Aiken, in his arms.

The caption reads "Yes, I'm Gay," and underneath is a quote from Aiken on his decision to come out of the closet that says: "I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things."

In August this year, Aiken's friend, music producer Jaymes Foster, gave birth to the baby fathered by Aiken.

A spokeswoman for People would neither confirm nor deny that Aiken told the magazine he is gay. But the magazine issued a statement saying, "We can confirm that Clay Aiken and his son appear on the next cover of People. For the complete story, visit people.com at 7 a.m. (EDT Wednesday) (1100 GMT) morning."

Aiken, 29, gained fame as a contestant on the No. 1-rated U.S. TV talent show "American Idol" in 2003. He was the runner-up that season but went on to build a solid singing career on his own. He currently appears on Broadway in "Monty Python's SPAMALOT."

For years, Aiken has dodged questions about whether he is homosexual despite persistent rumors on the subject. He has said, generally, that his sexuality was nobody's business but his own.

In 2006, ABC television's Diane Sawyer asked Aiken and he shot back that it was a "really rude" question. He also dodged it in a previous interview with People magazine saying that readers "are going to believe what they want."

No Country For Old Men

So, between yesterday night and today, i've watched No Country For Old Men two and a half times. It won the Oscar for Best Picture last year and it is really good...i saw it yesterday and today because i was taking advantage of the Starz preview weekend....but anyway, it is good but it is very very very confusing. But anyway...i'll probably watch it again soon to understand it more, but i'm still trying to grasp it right now....but anyway, i would very strongly recommend it....

so now i'm even less sure what is Tommy Lee Jones' best movie....to me, it's between JFK, Double Jeopardy, The Fugitive, and No Country For Old Men....

Notice i left Men In Black out of those four....you know why?...Cause it sucks....

So, the other day we had a seminar (thing we do at our school) about whether or not America was number 1. I was like ch-yes....but anyway, so after a seminar, we have Post-Seminars, which are basically essays we have to write about a question the teacher asks that relates to the seminar. So today me and another kid in class didn't have them (i forgot) so we decided to ask the teacher if we could do a skit instead of an essay. So she said ok and we got up in front of the class and improved a skit that wasn't half bad. The only bad part was that after the skit, the teacher asked for a script of it...so we wrote out what we remembered from it and turned it in. And i think we got a hundred.....yay for improv skits!

so the other day we got the Goo Goo Dolls Greatest Hits Vol. 2 in the mail....we bought it from amazon because it was only twelve dollars there (some guy buys it, copies it, and sells it online, basically) as opposed to 22 dollars everywhere else......well, so far out of five stars i would give it about a two......it is not good.....there first greatest hits had all their really good songs (i would give that a five out of five) but their second one is more aimed at their beginnings, the rock stuff that doesn't sound very good.....grrr....but i still love the goo goo dolls

The Dark Knight

So, tonight i went with nicole to see the Dark Knight again.............and it was awesome....again.........it was actually probably better this time because i didn't have to pay attention to the storyline i could just watch for foreshadowing (there is A LOT) and irony and stuff like that...........so we had fun...........and i ate a lot of popcorn........

and then, in the parking lot.....i kicked a Sonic cup that was by nicole's car and it got pop all over it..............oops........

Here is the video of Julia Castillo hitting a fan with a thrown baseball during a fight between the Dayton Dragons and Peoria Chiefs. Both teams are minor league baseball teams in the Class Low-A Midwest League.

And low is where they went on July 24th, 2008 in the very first inning. The brawl started as an argument between the two managers. Then Peoria Chief’s pitcher Julio Castillo threw a fastball at the opposing team’s dugout and missed which tells me a lot about his strikeout/walk ratio. The ball hit a fan right in the head and sent him to the hospital.

The fight that ensued lasted for 10 minutes and was eventually broken up by police officers. Julio Castilla was arrested on the spot and charged with felony assault. He will be in court on July 25th to face charges for the arrest. In total 15 players were ejected. The show must go on in baseball so they played nine innings. One of the teams won 6-5 but nobody cares.

You can clearly see Julio Castillo throwing the ball which injured the fan. He is #32 in the video. He throws it at 11 seconds in the video........

Just after 9:00 last night, the state executed a man who beat his co-worker to death with a brass lamp, took $100 from him, bought some crack cocaine, smoked it, then called police to say something was wrong with his friend.
Christopher Scott Emmett killed John Fenton Langley in a Danville motel room in April 2001. That October, a jury sentenced him to the death penalty. After many appeals and challenges of lethal injection as the state's method of execution, Emmett's day of death finally arrived.
The governor, of course, can intervene. Gov. Tim Kaine sent out a statement last night saying he declined to.
Emmett, 36, died at 9:07 p.m. His last words included a mention of the governor and even something that could be interpreted as a joke:"Tell my family and friends I love them, tell the governor he just lost my vote. Y'all hurry this along. I'm dying to get out of here."
Was that supposed to be a joke? How long did he spend thinking up that last line?

So i went and saw WALL E with my mom tonight because we were bored and my dad went on exchanges with the missionaries......

it was really good.....but i can't stop talking like WALL E and it's kind of annoying............i keep saying WALL E and EVA..........but yeah......

plus, i'm pretty excited cause the Rays lost tonight so now the Red Sox are tied for the lead in their division.......yay!!!.....

anyway....i was going to go see Dark Knight again today with my amigos, but the missionaries came over instead......

so i might go see it tomorrow with mi padres......

Cleaning

So....today, i was very busy cleaning...........ALL DAY........i had to clean the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, had to do the dishes, clean the bathroom, and then i had to hose and sweep off the duck poop from the back patio......and it took me sooo long......

i had to do it because the missionaries decided they wanted to come over for dinner, and the house was a disaster.......

so i didn't get to watch any movies today :(

so i just had an epiphany.....i realized why i felt sick all day today.........this morning (for breakfast), i ate about ten of tyson's buffalo style chicken tenders and then felt sick all day.......well i just read the nutrition facts for them and it says that the serving size is two pieces and in one serving you get 1180mg of sodium.......

that is 48% of the sodium you need in a day.....that means i had like 500% of the sodium i need.........so i probably had high blood pressure today........bleh........

but i just ate a milky way and now i'm happy.... :)

first i watched phantoms.....the dean koontz movie with ben affleck in it that i really regret watching because it was a waste of my time as well as electricity......

but i made up for it by watching Harvey.....the jimmy stewart movie about him and his bunny friend.........yeah.......i had never seen it before but it was really good......

and then i watched jim gaffigan do some comedian stuff and i laughed a lot......

Today was pretty much really boring........so to stop myself from going crazy, i decided to watch some movies.....i started with Man of the Year, the dumb Robin Williams movie that was really dumb.....

then, i watched New York Doll, the documentary about Killer Kane becoming a Mormon......which was better than Man of the Year, but not great....

Then, i watched Syriana, the George Clooney Matt Damon movie about something........i don't really know it was really confusing....something about oil companies and CIA and stuff....i was doing just fine watching it until some guy feels the need to start ripping George Clooney's fingernails off with pliers and they showed it all and it gave me chills...that was gross......but it was really good.........much better than the first two movies that i watched.......

And then, i went to the movies and saw The Dark Knight which was absolutely amazing........i loved it..........Christian Bale is almost as awesome as Heath Ledger.......but i don't understand why Morgan Freeman has to be in everything.........he's turning into Samuel L. Jackson....except for Morgan Freeman knows how to act........

WAUKESHA, Wis. - A 52-year-old Milwaukee-area man has been accused of faking heart attacks to avoid paying restaurant bills and cab fares.

Police say the Waukesha (WAWK'-uh-shaw) man took a cab to a mall Monday and pretended to have a heart attack. The cab driver left unpaid.

Authorities say the man then ran up a $23 bill when he had a steak dinner at Applebee's. He again pretended to have a heart attack.

This time the fire department took him to a hospital. A doctor there recognized the man as having pulled the same stunt in the past few weeks.

He was charged Thursday with defrauding a restaurant as a habitual criminal. He could get up to nine months in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Ok.......we made it back from dc.......it was only a 12 hour drive yesterday......ughh.....and scarlet, i was disappointed in the d.c. fireworks because nashville's are better..........and annonymouse, it was actually huey lewis and taylor hicks that did their singing thing.......and the vacation was very fun just so you know......except for the parade........it was like 2 hours and 15 minutes long......and i saw a PANDA BEAR!!!!!! a real one.......

Clinton Takes a Trip Down Memory Lane

Hillary Clinton sent supporters a photo scrap book of her highlights on the campaign trail today. Directly below the photos was a large red banner labeled “contribute”—afterall, the New York senator has significant debts to pay off, estimated at some $20 million. CQ’s PoliticalMoneyLine.com ranked Clinton ninth on a recent list of the top ten campaign self-lenders since 1980. The next disclosure reports are due by midnight on Friday.

Clinton’s photo album includes shots of her greatest moments in the 2008 primary race, including her speech on the night of her come-from-behind New Hampshire primary victory on January 8, and concludes with her farewell speech in Washington D.C. on June 7. Daughter Chelsea appears in three photos, while her husband, former President Bill Clinton, is notably absent from the album.

“Together, you and I changed America forever. We touched so many lives over the course of this campaign, and I can’t thank you enough for the support you showed me. I met so many wonderful people out on the trail, and I wanted to share some of those memories with you,” Clinton wrote in the e-mail, “Thank you so much — I’ll be in touch soon.” Clinton has not returned to the U.S. Senate since dropping her bid. so saturday night i was supposed to start taking care of some people in our church's dogs....they are on vacation for a week or so.......so i have to go over to their house in the morning and night to let them out and put them back in their kennels........well i went to their house saturday night and found (after opening the garage and the house door pretty much breaking into their house) their youngest son sleeping on the couch......they were still home......yeah......so i basically yell at the kid and tell him that he's supposed to be gone.....and he tells me no.......and so he goes upstairs and talks to his parents and they remembered (conveniently at that time) that they forgot to call me and tell me that they weren't leaving for another day now......so the kid told his parents that i was downstairs and they didn't believe him (but i was).....he came downstairs and basically busted out laughing and said that he heard the garage door open and the alarm go off (before being turned off [they gave me the code] by me) but didn't think anything of it....(kinda scary, huh?)......anyway....it was very embarrassing and i hope it never ever happens again...

AMAGASAKI, Japan — Japan, a country not known for its overweight people, has undertaken one of the most ambitious campaigns ever by a nation to slim down its citizenry.

Summoned by the city of Amagasaki one recent morning, Minoru Nogiri, 45, a flower shop owner, found himself lining up to have his waistline measured. With no visible paunch, he seemed to run little risk of being classified as overweight, or metabo, the preferred word in Japan these days.

But because the new state-prescribed limit for male waistlines is a strict 33.5 inches, he had anxiously measured himself at home a couple of days earlier. “I’m on the border,” he said.

Under a national law that came into effect two months ago, companies and local governments must now measure the waistlines of Japanese people between the ages of 40 and 74 as part of their annual checkups. That represents more than 56 million waistlines, or about 44 percent of the entire population.

Those exceeding government limits — 33.5 inches for men and 35.4 inches for women, which are identical to thresholds established in 2005 for Japan by the International Diabetes Federation as an easy guideline for identifying health risks — and having a weight-related ailment will be given dieting guidance if after three months they do not lose weight. If necessary, those people will be steered toward further re-education after six more months.

To reach its goals of shrinking the overweight population by 10 percent over the next four years and 25 percent over the next seven years, the government will impose financial penalties on companies and local governments that fail to meet specific targets. The country’s Ministry of Health argues that the campaign will keep the spread of diseases like diabetes and strokes in check.

The ministry also says that curbing widening waistlines will rein in a rapidly aging society’s ballooning health care costs, one of the most serious and politically delicate problems facing Japan today. Most Japanese are covered under public health care or through their work. Anger over a plan that would make those 75 and older pay more for health care brought a parliamentary censure motion Wednesday against Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, the first against a prime minister in the country’s postwar history.

But critics say that the government guidelines — especially the one about male waistlines — are simply too strict and that more than half of all men will be considered overweight. The effect, they say, will be to encourage overmedication and ultimately raise health care costs.

Yoichi Ogushi, a professor at Tokai University’s School of Medicine near Tokyo and an expert on public health, said that there was “no need at all” for the Japanese to lose weight.

“I don’t think the campaign will have any positive effect. Now if you did this in the United States, there would be benefits, since there are many Americans who weigh more than 100 kilograms,” or about 220 pounds, Mr. Ogushi said. “But the Japanese are so slender that they can’t afford to lose weight.”

Mr. Ogushi was actually a little harder on Americans than they deserved. A survey by the National Center for Health Statistics found that the average waist size for Caucasian American men was 39 inches, a full inch lower than the 40-inch threshold established by the International Diabetes Federation. American women did not fare as well, with an average waist size of 36.5 inches, about two inches above their threshold of 34.6 inches. The differences in thresholds reflected variations in height and body type from Japanese men and women.

Comparable figures for the Japanese are sketchy since waistlines have not been measured officially in the past. But private research on thousands of Japanese indicates that the average male waistline falls just below the new government limit.

That fact, widely reported in the media, has heightened the anxiety in the nation’s health clinics.

In Amagasaki, a city in western Japan, officials have moved aggressively to measure waistlines in what the government calls special checkups. The city had to measure at least 65 percent of the 40- to 74-year-olds covered by public health insurance, an “extremely difficult” goal, acknowledged Midori Noguchi, a city official.

When his turn came, Mr. Nogiri, the flower shop owner, entered a booth where he bared his midriff, exposing a flat stomach with barely discernible love handles. A nurse wrapped a tape measure around his waist across his belly button: 33.6 inches, or 0.1 inch over the limit.

“Strikeout,” he said, defeat spreading across his face.

The campaign started a couple of years ago when the Health Ministry began beating the drums for a medical condition that few Japanese had ever heard of — metabolic syndrome — a collection of factors that heighten the risk of developing vascular disease and diabetes. Those include abdominal obesity, high blood pressure and high levels of blood glucose and cholesterol. In no time, the scary-sounding condition was popularly shortened to the funny-sounding metabo, and it has become the nation’s shorthand for overweight.

The mayor of one town in Mie, a prefecture near here, became so wrapped up in the anti-metabo campaign that he and six other town officials formed a weight-loss group called “The Seven Metabo Samurai.” That campaign ended abruptly after a 47-year-old member with a 39-inch waistline died of a heart attack while jogging.

Still, at a city gym in Amagasaki recently, dozens of residents — few of whom appeared overweight — danced to the city’s anti-metabo song, which warned against trouser buttons popping and flying away, “pyun-pyun-pyun!”

So....i had to do a new job yesterday at Joe's house....they are putting patio stones (like for a walkway) under their deck so the dogs can go under there without getting muddy....too bad under the deck is on a hill....so we have to dig anywhere from 4 to 10 inches of dirt out before we level the dirt out and put rock sand underneath.....then we have to put the rock down and use the level to level it out.....the first stone took me an hour......after a whole days work yesterday we only got 19 stones done and the job will probably take about 175 stones.....ughhhhhh...

Okay, so for scout camp they want us to "earn" our money to pay for it....too bad its 170 dollars....so we have to go to people and do yard work for them so they can pay us the money so we can get enough to go to camp....not a good idea....so yesterday i had to go to one of the guys houses and me and joe and tyler had to move rocks....out of his yard....we had to shovel rocks out....so we called two more people to come and help us....one rock took four people to lift....it was Sooooo heavy.....anyway...we also had to move cinderblocks up a very steep hill back to the wall that they were on until it collapsed....i did this for 7 hours yesterday........i am so tired......

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canada's Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the case of a man who said he lost interest in sex after he found two dead flies in an unopened bottle of drinking water.

Waddah Mustapha sued the bottling company, saying he had suffered psychological damage, including depression, phobia, anxiety and damage to his sex life after the unpleasant 2001 discovery.

He won C$340,000 ($343,000) in damages in a lower court, but the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that he had not proved his case.

"Mr Mustapha must show that it was foreseeable that a person of ordinary fortitude would suffer serious injuries from seeing the flies in the bottle of water he was about to install. This he failed to do," the court said.

Mustapha said he vomited after finding the fly and now found it hard to shower. He also said he was afflicted by visions of flies walking over feces.

Mustapha -- who will lose the award and must pay the costs of the case -- was not immediately available for comment.

Okay........we made it back from New York Yesterday.......we spent five and a half hours in Laguardia Airport.......that was not fun.........but new york was fun..........we went and saw wicked.....and it is the best thing i have ever seen ever...........ever........the special effects were soooooooooooooooooo goood......and we got to go to the Dakota Building and Strawberry Fields.......those were pretty much the highlights of my trip............but it was a lot of fun....

In a world where Santa can no longer say Ho Ho Ho and the lollies and bikkies we ate as children have vastly different names (Fads instead of Fags, Scalliwags instead of Golliwogs), this mother is struggling to keep up with being politically correct and is barely hanging on.

I mean, how are we supposed to school our children in the acceptable vernacular (and the connotation) when we don’t even know or understand why half of it exists in the first place?

When did it become unconscionable to say short instead of vertically challenged; or to call a footstool a pouffe and more importantly, when did men stop opening doors and paying for dinner?

I mean, what is the world coming to? Political correctness has taken over and in the process, a decidedly unpleasant environment has resulted.

No longer is protecting people’s feelings and sensibilities the result of jargon change, it has now taken on extreme proportions and like most people I feel that political correctness is so ridiculously incorrect I can hardly speak.

When my little pumpkin told me how much he liked his new brown friend at school I rushed to hush him, explaining that she is indigenous, not brown.

Yeah....i haven't really started packing yet since i don't really feel the need to pack until friday night....we have to be at the airport on Saturday morning at 5:00 in the morning for our short flight to LaGuardia.......then we have a long day that ends with a trip to Wicked......but anyway...

I decided (my mom made me) to clean my room today....it was a MESS....but anyway, i found my suitcase and it was full of hats....it also had a whole bunch of crap that was still in there from our trip to Utah last summer.....

I need to start packing on Friday, but first i have to make a decision on what hats i'm going to wear....the trip is four days long and that means that i have to wear four different hats.....but i have like fifty of them to choose from.....i'll probably wear a Red Sox hat every day just because we'll be in Yankee Heaven.....or Hell i mean...........

But that only narrows it down to like ten hats......so i still have to make a decision.....i've sort of decided that i'll wear a regular bosox hat, then wear a 2004 world series champions hat, then wear a 2005 division series hat, then wear a 2007 world series champions hat.....but that still only narrows it down to me having to pick four of like eight hats..............

Today was very boring....a lot of things happened, but it was terribly slow....First, we had to do Student Council speeches and the guy i ran against, his speech was absolutely terrible....i hope i won....i think i did....but then we had to go to all of our other classes and try not to fall asleep....then we had to have a seminar in fourth block about Earth Day....by the way, Earth Day is tomorrow, since no one cares.....

I wonder how many kids came to school high today because yesterday was 4/20.....

I went to bed last night at Kelsie's house at 11:30......I had to wake up at 4:30 this morning for an Autism Walk that we volunteered for.....we had to be there at 5:30....we had to give the runners and walkers water.....it was really fun.....we had water fights....Joe peed in one of the cups and set it on the table....i made him get rid of it so no one would pick it up while they were running.....ewwww....at the end, Kelsie, Hillary, and Megan all ganged up on me and poured the rest of the ice and water in the cooler on me.....yeah the weather was in the 40s.....so i went home and slept for four hours.....and tonight i have to go to a Sammy Kershaw concert, whoever that is.....
